The Company's last two albums, recorded in the latter part of the '90s for BMG Records Philippines, consisted entirely of remakes, mostly international tunes. On 2002's Storybook, the group, which contains two male and two female singers, changes directions and performs all new songs composed by Philippine songwriters. The group has also changed labels, and Storybook was released on local independent Viva records. On many of the group's albums, which started in 1991 on local independent Ivory records, the Company recorded both easy listening music, a style of music quite popular in the Philippines, as well as adventurous songs with daring arrangements, venturing into such styles as vocal jazz, gospel, funk, rock, and rap. On Storybook, the band mostly foregoes the daring arrangements and performs easy listening and middle-of-the-road love songs. The opening, "Minsan, Isang Araw" (Sometimes, One Day), for example, is a nice, pleasant tune and contains a catchy chorus. While some songs sound derivative, including "Pag Nagkataon" (If By Chance) and "Sabi Ko Na Nga!" (I Said So!), the overall tone of the album is pleasant and soothing. The Company gets adventurous on the acid jazz-influenced "I've Been Here Before," which includes wah-wah guitar, flashy trumpet fills, and soulful singing.
