A French import stuffed with hits and remakes of popular 60's sounds: "Knock On Wood," "Lucille," "If I Had a Hammer" (delightful), "You Send Me," "People Get Ready" (makes you wonder why Curtis Mayfield never produced Clark), and a sweet soul music medley. The smashes include the shimmering "Raindrops," a bluesy "Nobody But You," a Bo Diddley derivative "Hey Little Girl," and the bouncy "Just Keep It Up." Clark's magnificent bell-clear tenor could deliver on R&B and Pop songs. Like Major Lance, Dee spent his chart busting years touring with Dick Clark Caravan of Stars, and other pop venues. He never really built a solid base with African- Americans. When the hits stopped and the Pop venues didn't need his services, he was up a creek without a paddle, and had to trip to Europe to gig consistently.
