The a cappella quintet Pentatonix are a global phenomenon. How global? Consider that PTX recorded their third volume of pop hits and originals while touring in places like Singapore, Europe, New York, and Japan. Perhaps this explains the inclusion of the U.K. classical/electronic act Clean Bandit's "Rather Be," as well as "Papaoutai," a song by Belgian artist Stromae that's sung entirely in French. The monster hits by American artists are here too, such as Ariana Grande's "Problem," featuring PTX's Mitch Grassi rapping Iggy Azaela's verse. And a take on Disclosure's "Latch"—here as "La La Latch"—is buoyant and crisp. Originals include "On My Way Home" and "See Through," the latter an energetic a cappella/EDM hybrid. Now who ever saw that coming?
