Tampa Red sang and played the guitar and kazoo with a joy and flair that made almost every tune he did instantly unforgettable. His early work has been reissued and repackaged so often that it's easy to get caught in the mire. These are marvelous cuts, matching him with various accompanists, including Georgia Tom (later Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey), and offering the best in double-entendre, rags, topical and novelty material.
