As one of the biggest and most auspicious festivals in India, Diwali has a huge significance as far as workplace celebrations go. Most companies decorate the office and distribute sweets and gifts to the employees. Some even go as far as conducting ethinic day, Diwali-themed activities, a feast, the works.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s a roundup of the diwali festivities at some of the Indian companies, each unique and interesting in their own way, on the last working day before Diwali.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was Freecharge’s first Diwali in the new office<\/a><\/span>, and undoubtedly the company had grand celebrations for 2 days for their 200+ employees across Mumbai and Bangalore. This included interesting activities like pottery making, pottery painting, ethnic day and special lunch. \u00a0The office was decked up with bright and colourful lanterns and Diyas to add to the festive mood.\u00a0An elaborate special lunch was served the office to ensure employees get a feel of home cooked food.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Jabong<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Jabong Gurgaon offices wore a bright and colorful look decked in traditional matkas<\/em> and Rajasthani\u00a0leheriya<\/em>\u00a0fabrics. Employees wore ethnic clothes and masked musicians serenaded people amid thumping beats of\u00a0dhols<\/em>. JETters were glued to tambola, tug-of-war, andantakshari<\/em>, as stalls of mehndi<\/em>, tarot card, tattoo, archery, and treasure hunt constantly pulled crowd the whole day.The company wished their employees with distributing chocolates, cookies, and Jabong gift vouchers.In the afternoon, Jabong lawns broke into one big dance floor as JETters swayed to the DJ\u2019s contagious, energetic tracks. Feasts added to the richness of the fest with yummy chaat<\/em> counters and an elaborate cuisine.”<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Snapdeal<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Since moving into their new office<\/a><\/span>, and renewed with a successful sale, Snapdeal decked up its Gurgaon-based campus, beginning right from the alleyway at the entrace . Founder Rohit Bansal and Kunal Bahl personally tweeted about the celebrations.<\/span><\/p>\n
